How To Dispose Of A Mattress

Hiring a skip is a super convenient resource for anyone who has a large amount of waste for any reason. Skips can hold a very impressive amount of rubbish from your home, however, we do have some restrictions on what shouldn’t be placed in there. One of the main items we get asked about is mattresses, we can dispose of mattresses for you however we do charge a fee of £45-50 + VAT. 

What else can I do with my mattress?

We charge extra for taking these as they can be a safety issue. This is down to their size and weight, they usually exceed the fill line of a skip which makes transporting it dangerous. There are other options for getting rid of your old mattress, one of them being recycling. Your mattress is 100% recyclable so get in touch with your local recycling centre to check they can accept it or ask for the nearest available location. Guidelines state you should replace your mattress every 7 years, if you are upgrading yours before this time why not try to sell it or donate it to someone in need. 

What should I do if I still want you to take it?
